What We Believe
At Saint Luke’s, we follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, trusting in God’s grace to guide and sustain us. Our faith is rooted in Scripture, the Lutheran Confessions, and the historic Christian Church, holding fast to the promises of God revealed in Word and Sacrament.
We believe that God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, loves all people, and that through Jesus, we are forgiven, renewed, and called to love our neighbors. Worship, prayer, and service flow from this love, shaping our daily lives and our community.
We treasure the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion as gifts of God’s grace, connecting us to Christ and to one another.
Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have been a lifelong Lutheran, you are welcome here to discover, grow, and experience God’s presence in our midst.

1.
Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura)
The Bible is the sole authority for faith and practice, divinely inspired and completely trustworthy.
2.
Faith Alone (Sola Fide)
Justification before God comes solely through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our works.
3.
Grace Alone (Sola Gratia)
Salvation is a free gift from God, given through His grace, not something we can earn.
4.
One God in Three Persons
We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three persons, one God.
5.
Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
Jesus is both fully God and fully man; His life, death, and resurrection are central to our faith.
6.
Baptism as a Means of Grace

Baptism unites believers with Christ and initiates a lifelong relationship with God.

Frequently Asked Questions
We know visiting a new church can feel overwhelming. At Saint Luke’s, our hope is that you feel welcomed, at home, and drawn closer to Christ. Here are a few things you might want to know before you come:
What is worship like?
Our services are liturgical, Scripture-centered, and centered on Holy Communion every Sunday. You can expect a blend of organ, choir, hymns, and occasional special music. Worship lasts about an hour.
Do I need to be Lutheran?
Not at all! Many who worship with us come from different backgrounds. All are welcome to participate in worship. If you have questions about receiving Communion, our pastors would be glad to talk with you.
What should I wear?
You’ll see everything from dresses and suits to jeans and sweaters. Please come as you’re comfortable.
What about my kids?
Children are welcome in worship! We believe little voices belong in God’s house. Nursery care is available for those who wish, but many families worship together.
What happens after worship?
Stay for coffee, fellowship, and conversation—we’d love to get to know you. There are also Bible studies and classes for those who want to go deeper.
Is the church accessible?
Yes. We have plenty of parking, handicap access, and ushers who are glad to assist you.
Will I be singled out?
No. We’ll greet you warmly, but you won’t be asked to stand up or introduce yourself publicly. You are free to participate at your own pace.
How can I get connected?
We encourage you to visit worship, meet a pastor, and explore our school, Bible studies, or service opportunities. Saint Luke’s is a place to belong and grow.
