Updated: Jul 7, 2022

Opening Song: The Apostles' Creed

Today we are learning about Jesus' mission for His disciples (and for us)!

Lesson: Jesus Send Out the Disciples

Ask: In today's story, why did Jesus send out the disciple? What did the disciples do? Have you ever told someone about Jesus? If you did, how did it go?

Say: In today's story, Jesus send out disciples to share the Good News of the Kingdom of God! Remember, we learned that God's Kingdom means that Jesus is King and ruler over everything. His Kingdom is both in us and all around us, so we share the good news about Jesus not just with our words, but with what we do. When we help others, like the disciples did, we are sharing the Kingdom of God!

Activity Sheets or Play

After the song, hand out the activity sheets. Younger children are welcome to play with the Duplos (encourage them to play out a story that fits with the lesson).

End with the Lord's Prayer when the Usher comes to let you know the prayers have started.
