Opening Song: The Apostles' Creed
Big Idea: Jesus is the Lamb of God!
Story: "The Lamb of God" | Spark Story Bible, pg. 246
Lesson Video - What is the Lamb of God?
Ask: What happens when you play in the mud? Do you get clean or dirty? ... (You get dirty). Ok, let's use our imaginations for a moment.
When we sin - when we do things that are wrong and hurt God's feelings, hurt others, or even hurt ourselves - we make our spirit dirty.
How can we clean our spirit?
Say: We can't actually clean out spirit. It's not possible for us to do it by ourselves. We need help.
Now, let's imagine that we played in the mud again. And our hands are dirty. What happens if we touch someone else with our dirty hands? ... (They become dirty too). And if they touched our muddy selves, they would get dirty that way too.
But with Jesus, that's not how it works! Even though our spirits are dirty with sin, when we go to Jesus and when His Spirit comes to live in us, He makes us clean! Jesus doesn't even become dirty. Let's watch a video that might help us understand...
Example Video
Say: When we turn away from our sins and become part of God's family through baptism, our sins are washed away! Jesus, the Lamb of God cleans us! That's good news!

Activity Sheets or Play
After the song, hand out the activity sheets. Younger children are welcome to play with the Duplos (encourage them to play out a story that fits with the lesson).
End with the Lord's Prayer when the Usher comes to let you know the prayers have started
(If you need more time)
Go around the room and ask the children to share something they are thankful for this week.
Ask them if there is anything or anyone they would like to pray for this week.
