Story: "Angels Visit" - Spark Story Bible, pg. 196
Say: The angel gave some crazy news to Mary and Joseph. If an angel came to me and told me God was going to do something amazing but kind of crazy, I might have a hard time believing. Would you? Well, let's watch a video about this story.
Lesson — Listening to God
Ask: We saw in our story and our video that an angel came to Mary and Joseph. Do you think that Mary and Joseph were super special people? ... Some people think Mary never did anything wrong and that's why God chose her. But, that's not true. Mary was just a normal woman and Joseph was just a normal man.
Are any of us superheroes? ... Can you fly? ... Can you make whatever you want just appear by thinking about it?
Say: We are normal people. But, we are also special - not because we do every right all the time or have superpowers - but because God loves us and is with us.
When God is with us and in us, He can do great things through us. He chose Mary, a normal woman, to give birth to Jesus. He chose Joseph to help raise Jesus and take care of Him. God can use you in awesome ways too! One way is to share the Good News of Jesus with others!

Activity Sheets or Play
After the song, hand out the activity sheets. Younger children are welcome to play with the Duplos (encourage them to play out a story that fits with the lesson).
End with the Lord's Prayer when the Usher comes to let you know the prayers have started.
